What Is 4D Hyaluronic Acid and Why You Should Start Using It Today!

All About The Breakthrough New Skincare Ingredient That's Taking The World By Storm

Although its name can be tricky to say (but also fun!), hyaluronic acid is a skincare ingredient many have never heard of, despite it being in many of your favorite skincare products.

Marketed as a skin hydrator and moisturizer, hyaluronic acid has been universally hailed by dermatologists and skincare professionals as a miracle formula, with dozens of proven skincare benefits, including the therapy of dry and cracked skin, wrinkles, burns, and the nasty side effects of aging. (1)

HA has become so popular over the years that its therapies are now mimicked in the form of injections, fillers, and even supplements that are meant to deliver the same moisture-boosting properties and benefits of natural HA.

Doctors are split on these copycat varieties, but they all agree on one new breakthrough that’s even better than regular hyaluronic acid…

4D hyaluronic acid is just like regular hyaluronic acid, only better, and is changing the rules of skin therapy.

In this blog we cover what hyaluronic acid is, why you need it, and how 4D hyaluronic acid is changing the skincare game forever with HA benefits.

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that’s found naturally in your skin. It’s focused primarily in your joints and eyes, and that’s because it acts as a cushion and lubricant in your body, enabling better mobility and greater elasticity. (2)

Hyaluronic acid is also found in your skin, and that’s perhaps where it’s needed most. This is because hyaluronic acid naturally attracts water, binding it to your existing collagen, giving your skin more moisture than it can attract on its own. (3)

And hyaluronic acid doesn’t just add a little moisture.

Hyaluronic acid is so powerful that just one molecule of hyaluronic acid can bind 1000 times its weight in water! (4)

It then retains that moisture like a sponge, creating a protective layer of hydration that will leave you with radiant skin that’s glowing, regardless of summer sweat and winter dryness.

Sounds awesome, right? Well just wait.

Hyaluronic acid applied to the skin also attracts moisture AFTER use, meaning it works for you once you’ve forgotten all about putting it on.

And since your skin naturally absorbs 60% of what’s applied to it, hyaluronic acid enables your skin to be working day and night, both inside AND outside your skin. (1)

Aging, tobacco, the sun, artificial heating and cooling, and natural dryness causes you to lose the natural hyaluronic acid you store, and for your skin to give way to wrinkling, dehydration, and little cracks from which you lose your skin’s natural glow and radiance. (5) (6)

One of the benefits of HA is that it works to reverse these problems, taking away the dullness and dryness that comes along with wrinkles and time in the sun, leaving your skin smooth and radiant for years to come.

Hyaluronic acid also is a proven wound healer, and is used to accelerate the healing process, disinfect wounds to prevent risk of infection, and minimalize scarring due to its ability to control inflammation and manage blood flow in and out of damaged areas of the body. (7) (8) (9) (10)

Hyaluronic acid is a simple and easy skincare fix, and that’s because of its ability to penetrate the skin and moisturize immediately, allowing it to work in minutes, then last for hours and hours on end. (11)

And not only that, but hyaluronic acid is also available for everyone. “It can be universally used,” Dr. Josh Zeichner, MD says, and especially works well during the summer months, when the effects of oily skin and dryness can cause additional damage to the epidermis.

Dr. Lara Devgan, MD, agrees, noting hyaluronic acid doesn’t have any known reactions to other skin care ingredients, making it an easy addition to your already existing routine, or even the basis for a new one. (12)

So now that we know why hyaluronic acid is so awesome, it’s time to talk about the new sheriff in this skincare town …

Whereas regular hyaluronic acid contains all the benefits we’ve talked about in just one sugar molecule, 4D hyaluronic acid combines the hydrating power of FOUR HYALURONIC MOLECULES to give your skin the unparalleled glow you deserve!

Our bodies require water. That’s why doctors say to drink eight glasses of water a day. And just like your body needs water, your skin does too, and it manufactures it in the form of hyaluronic acid.

But our bodies simply can't keep up with the gradual loss of hyaluronic acid we endure, not to mention the aging process and harmful effects of natural air - UV rays, tobacco smoke, pollution, dryness, and humidity - that regular hyaluronic acid can't keep up with. (5) (6)

Only 4D hyaluronic acid can reverse these damaging effects, and get your skin back to where it wants to be!

The various molecules in 4D hyaluronic acid work together to form a three-dimensional connective network INSIDE your skin, managing moisture and attracting more hydration than regular hyaluronic acid ever could. (13)

4D hyaluronic acid also contains the same universal properties of regular hyaluronic acid, which board-certified dermatologist Tsippora Shainhouse says is useful for all skin types, and won’t trigger acne, rosascea, or skin irritations. (12) (14)

Having the team-building, multiple-molecule might of 4D hyaluronic acid also enables it to target moisture several layers deep, working with other molecules on the surface of your skin to multiply the normal benefits of regular hyaluronic acid, giving you greater elasticity in movement, more moisture, and greater nutrient replenishment than ever before! (15)

Now that we know how great 4D hyaluronic acid is, it's natural to wonder where you can find products with this incredible ingredient. But because the technology is still relatively new, 4D hyaluronic acid products are not easily found on the market today.

Hi! Do you suggest the body oil be used before or after the spray?
    Garner’s Garden replied:
Hi! Thanks so much for your comment! A good rule of thumb to remember when working through your skincare routine is to apply products in order of texture, from the thinnest to the thickest. So, I’d use the HA spray, then apply the oil, then reapply the HA spray as needed!

Thank you so much for the clear explanations.
    Garner’s Garden replied:
Hey Joan! Thanks so much for your comment! Please feel free to check out some of our other blogs and let us know what you think!

Does 4D Hyaluronic acid control oily skin? Especially under make-up.
    Garner’s Garden replied:
Hey Joy! Thanks so much for your question! 4D Hyaluronic Acid absolutely controls oily skin, and works great under makeup as a natural moisturizer. It helps to balance your skin, which will keep you hydrated and radiant, while preventing excess oil production that can cause acne or breakouts. Hope this helps!
