The Worst Foods For Your Oral Health!

Prevent Cavities ... Strengthen Teeth Today!

Let's be honest, everyone wants strong teeth and great oral health, and many of us will research ingredients, brush twice a day, floss, and use mouthwash, and then realize the great oral health we want is undone by the foods we eat. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.

In addition to those foods you know hurt your oral health, some of the foods we think are actually good for us may actually be hurting us too, like dried fruit and trail mixes. But that’s not all. There are many foods that can cause damage to your teeth, and now's the time to be aware of what these dangers are so you can TAKE BACK YOUR ORAL HEALTH today. (1)

And now it's never been easier to still eat what you want, while PROTECTING and even STRENGTHENING your oral and overall bodily health. And that comes down to the right habits and using the best ALL-NATURAL INGREDIENTS in a consistent ALL-NATURAL ORAL CARE ROUTINE you can rely on every day!

In this blog we discuss the worst foods for your oral health, and how you can achieve your BEST ORAL HEALTH today!

THE FOODS WE EAT

Believe it or not, the foods we eat can cause us severe dental problems, like plaque, cavities, tooth decay, and gum problems. The wrong foods can even cause problems to your enamel, which can cause short and long-term oral health problems that can affect your day-to-day-life.

One of the major problems with these oral problems is that one problem often leads to another, including a significant amount of pain. For example, the wrong foods release sugars, which then give off acids, which then lead to certain issues (like cavities), which then leads to potential tooth abscesses and pain. (2)

It’s also important to note that many of the foods that affect your oral health are not the same ones that some people may avoid for the rest of their health. As a general rule of thumb, though, sugary foods are not the best for your oral health, while nutritious foods boost the health of your teeth and can prevent cavities. As always, consult a health care professional before changing your diet and if you have any questions about your health. (3)

QUICK TIP: Your risk of gum problems and cavities worsen over time and with age. Strengthen your teeth so you can enjoy every meal for the rest of your life by using GARNER’S GARDEN 100% ALL-NATURAL ORAL CARE TRIO today! (4)

Sugary foods aren’t the only foods that can hurt your oral health. Starchy and acidic foods can hurt your oral health as well, and can comprise foods that you may not even think of. The reason for this is that your mouth contains bacteria that cracks down on even the smallest carbs, which are known to hurt your tooth enamel.

Foods containing high amounts of sugar can lead to oral problems that can worsen over time. Protect your teeth and enjoy a healthier smile for life by using GARNER'S GARDEN 100% ALL-NATURAL ORAL CARE TRIO each day!

Examples of some of these potentially debilitating carbs - also called refined carbs - are cookies, potato chips, artificial sweeteners, and pastas. Refined carbs actually become sugar once digested, and are linked to tooth decay and cavities. They can also lead to plaque by getting stuck in your teeth. (5)

Keeping these lesser-known foods that can hurt your oral health in mind can help to prevent further problems to your oral health in the long term, which is essential, and so is having a consistent ALL-NATURAL ORAL CARE ROUTINE! As a bonus tip, also be aware of crackers and other starches that are packed with sugar, which may hurt your oral health unexpectedly. (6)

WHY THEY'RE HARMFUL

But obviously the main foods you need to be aware of are the sugary ones. These include pies, candy, jelly beans, and other foods that can linger in your mouth, causing extra strain on your saliva to wash away the ingested sugar. This can be quite difficult, and so it’s important you drink a lot of water and follow your ALL-NATURAL ORAL CARE ROUTINE after eating these foods.

Some snacks in the carbohydrate column of dangerous foods can even be related to inflammation in your mouth. Unfortunately, this inflammation can lead to chronic issues, which can include gingivitis and periodontitis. The reason these starches are so problematic is because people don’t normally think of them as bad for their oral health, and because people tend to eat a lot of them. (7)

Sugary foods can cause cavities, which can make chewing all your favorite healthy foods painful. Protect your bite and enjoy your favorite meal today with GARNER'S GARDEN 100% ALL-NATURAL ORAL CARE TRIO!

Eating foods that can increase your saliva can also counter much of the problems these dangerous foods can cause, and include beans and spinach, which dissolve in ways that actually clean your teeth to help prevent dental problems. The secret is the fact that these foods  - usually ones that are fibrous – make you chew a lot. (8)

QUICK TIP: Just because they don’t seem sugary, sour candies can be just as devastating to your oral health, and contain a lot of sugar that can hurt your enamel. Protect your teeth and enjoy your favorite candies by using GARNER’S GARDEN 100% ALL-NATURAL ORAL CARE TRIO today! (9)

It’s also important that you avoid those foods that can dry out your mouth. You know what foods these probably are, and can encompass all the foods we’ve previously mentioned. Certain desserts, crackers that are dry, and nuts with a lot of salt can leave your saliva in short supply and at an increased risk of tooth decay.

Certain breads and other starchy snacks can also decrease the pH and upset the balance of your mouth. Simply switching to whole wheat can help better the chances of having STRONG ORAL HEALTH, as it’s not as easily broken down and doesn’t contain as many sugars that can harm your health. (10)

Perhaps not surprisingly, acidic foods can also hurt your enamel, as highly acidic foods like oranges, lemons, and limes can hurt your oral health. Along with these dangerous foods, sports drinks and energy drinks can hurt your teeth even more with their elevated sugar levels. (11)
