This is my second time ordering this charcoal facial cleanser. The very first time I used it had my face so pretty people thought I had on make-up. Although I haven't been able to get that first high again, it's still worth purchasing again. I use it in combo with the charcoal foam wash. My face always feel fresh and cleansed whenever I use it. And a little goes a long way.

Very oily, straight up smells like hot cheetos with lime when first applying then once dried the smell is not pleasant. I want to say it works good but that smell ruins it. Smells like enchiladas lol
I don’t like to give bad reviews however I am making an exception this time. I could not stand the smell. My husband said it smells like 30 wt car oil. I couldn’t get it off my face fast enough.

This cleanser has been a staple in my routine for years. Great at fighting/removing blemishes and helps keeps my skin even and healthy.
I hadn't heard of the oil cleansing method before discovering GG so, I decided to give it a try since I've tried almost everything else. Annnd, I really like it! I was skeptical because I thought adding oil to my combination skin would add to my problems but, no! It washes clean and I've noticed that my skin is brighter and more balanced when I'm consistent with it. I've also noticed that it's great for drying up mosquito bites. Use as directed on a bite for about 2 days and you should be good to go!
A little goes a super long way so, you'll have a bottle for a while.
Seems to be working out just fine, I use it about every other day right now. Skin looks and feels pretty good, I got no complaints. Keep up the great work y'all.

This is the first step that you use BEFORE washing your face. If you prefer using only facial washes, we have different products that you can choose from like our Organic Face Wash and our Foaming Black Soap.

I have been using this more. I try to use it at least a few times a week to keep break out down. It has helped.
Really great product. I have very sensitive skin and when I use the cleanser, it actually does not provoke any irritations. As a matter of fact, when my face, for any reason, gets irritated, I use the product to calm such irritations. The scent is a bit strange, but after a while on your face, it actually smells like my natural body oil.
Don't like the feeling it leaves. That charcoal feeling is a little heavy

Our Activated Charcoal Facial Cleanser is a pre-wash cleanser. This is just
the first step in our oil cleansing method. This will deeply cleanse your skin without stripping the skin’s natural oils. After rinsing it off, you will need to follow up with another cleanser. You can use our Organic Face Wash or Foaming Black Soap after.

I wasn't sure how to use this product. But then I read the directions on the website that differed a little from the directions on the bottle. So I fused the two. I use this before the Foam Wash (for women) and in two days I've seen a drastic difference. I LOVE the Foam Wash. Adding this prior to it with a 30 - 45 sec wait is fantastic! I'm a fan! I see my washing phase as a 1-2 situation, not just the Foam Wash. This cleanser is gently powerful. I LOVE it too!
Feels oily at first but doesn’t leave my face feeling greasy after rinsing and using the toner.Has improved my skin and seems to have balanced out the oily/dryness.
This pre-wash cleanser is the missing step I've been trying to solve in my daily skin care regime. My problem area has always been my chin and since I started using this before my actual face soap, I've noticed my skin feels softer and looks more even toned. This will definitely be a permanent addition to my face products.
Im always sketchy about charcoal product because they leave residue, but not this one. Also pairing the cleanser with the scrub is the perfect duo.

Its not good to put soap on face so this is a wonderful alternative to clean your face. Make sure to get oil your skin will need it. Plus face oil is not oily.

As the description says, the oil and the smell are the two hurdles to jump over but those are very minor when you see / feel the effect of this facial cleanser. And as long as you follow the directions of the steps of the face cleansing method, which would be toner next, you can certainly feel the products doing their work. I woke up today after using my products twice yesterday and my skin is sincerely glowing - loving this brand!
